Shadows on Bricks by olivetreeann

Shadows on Bricks

Jeff's phone recently died of "old age" and when he went to replace it, my old flip-phone was upgraded as well. I thought I'd try out the camera while on the World Wide Photo Walk last Saturday and this was one of the results. Not bad! But getting the photos into my computer? Let's just say, I'll still be using my point and shoot for a long time!
I download photos on my phone into Google's Photos then download from that site to my computer.

Really neat contrast in the patterns of the bricks. Neat phone shot!

Love the patterns and textures.

I copy photos from my phone to my computer and it is much more complicated than doing it from my camera. I had to write down all the stages on a piece of paper and now it is easy, but you have to do it a few times before it sinks it. Well it does with me, I must have a slow brain.

Terrific use of shape and texture to create the image, with the natural monochrome being very effective.

Interesting and minimalist. I usually simply mail to myself the photos taken with the cell phone and then I open and save them on the computer

I email myself the photos. Though I can do it directly.

@randystreat Thanks Kathy! I did try that- but after 2 video tutorials from the phone, 2 written tutorials off web and one Youtube video it still didn't work and I gave up. I ended up emailing myself 45 photos! Needless to say, this will not be my camera of choice!

@photographycrazy @mittens @eudora

Thank you Bill!
Thank you Marilyn!
Thank you Diane!

@onewing Thanks Babs- you most definitely do not have a slow brain- I think some brands are just hard to work with and my phone is. I did end up figuring out how to email them to myself but with 45 pictures that I couldn't see large enough to know if they were good enough, it was a complete bother!! I will now only use this phone camera in an emergency even though it does do a decent job.

@kjarn Thanks Kathy- according to all the videos and tutorials I read this is supposed to be quite easy. My theory? A man designed it!
