Present

"What a strange present," Milo thought to himself.

Day #5 of the Book- Word Challenge and we seem to be hovering around the start of Milo's adventure. But this combo reminded me of some of the stranger gifts I have been given (most of them from my mother-in-law!). The strangest (and worst too) was a pre-tied and sewn shut kerchief/head scarf. It didn't even fit! Coming in for a close second was the plastic pencil bag I got for my birthday this year. Milo's strange gift took him on an amazing adventure. My strange gift has to be taken with a smile. I think my mother-in-law is gift-giving challenged (if there is such a thing).
wonderful processing - great shot

@adobewaters @kerristephens Thanks Adobe and Kerri. I wanted it to have the fanciful feeling of the book, so processing was the way to go. Glad you like it!

You do this well!

@dmariewms Thanks Marie- I really just play around with it until I see something I like. I actually ended up with three different pictures (same basic subject just different effects), and finally chose this one because I liked the starburst. Without the effects, it's a boring picture!

@httpgeffed Thanks Colleen. It's computer generated, but it seemed to fit the book.

@digitalrn Thank you Rick- it's really all due to the processing. It wasn't much on its own.
