Seat

While Milo is driving along the Watchdog shares the history of time and how his family became watchdogs:

"Once there was no time at all, and people found it very inconvenient. They never knew whether they were eating lunch or dinner, and they were always missing trains. So time was invented to help them keep track of the day and get places when they should. When they began to count all the time that was available, what with 60 seconds in a minute and 60 minutes in an hour and 24 hours in a day and 365 days in a year, it seemed as if there was much more time than could ever be used. 'If there's so much of it, it couldn't be very valuable' was the general opinion, and it soon fell into disrepute. People wasted it and even gave it away. Then we were given the job of seeing that no one would waste time again," he said, sitting up proudly. "It's hard work but a noble calling. For you see- " and now he was standing on the seat, one foot on the windshield, shouting with his arms outstretched- "it is our most valuable possession, more precious than diamonds. It marches on, it and tide wait for no man, and--" At that point in his speech the car hit a bump in the road and the watchdog collapsed in a heap on the front seat with his alarm ringing furiously.

So here it is- seat; simply shot, and simply defined.

No matter where we go . . doctor, dentist, school, church, etc. we need a SEAT. Wonderful subject and photo, Ann. Something we don't even give a second thought to!

@digitalrn Thanks Rick- Norton Juster's book is full of these little paragraphs where I think children find them entertaining but adults go, "Oh yeah- that's so true!"
@summerfield Thanks Summerfield!
@daveanajao Thanks Dave! It's a great book (The Phantom Tollbooth) written for kids, but I think adults would get a lot out of it too!
@changingtides Thanks Allie!
@nicolecampbell Thank you Nicole! This is the "Film" effect with text added. I've never used this one before- but it really gave the shot some class!
@karenann Thank you Karenann! Took this one in a Sunday School classroom- not as fearful as the doctor or dentist!

@alia_801 Thanks Alia! These little chairs are so cute- they just caught my eye while leaving church. I just wanted to make the shot a bit more artsy, so the processing did the trick there.
