Just fooling around with iPiccy's new collage layouts. I don't think this really does justice to some of these shots, but I do like the trapezoid shapes. These pictures were all taken on the porch of an old farmhouse. I was surprised to see the wicker chair so unaffected by the weather.
that wicker chaise must've looked fabulous in its heydays! i picture an oldish elegant woman sitting on there, fanning herself with a leaf fan and being served iced tea by a young helper. all those imagined scenes in period novels i've read are coming to mind! lovely collage.
@allie912 Thank you Allison! It really looked so pretty. And that's what they call this category of collage options- jigsaw! @kerristephens Thank you Kerri! @karenann Thanks Karenann! I was surprised at how well it was preserved. My thought is that this home was recently lived in. There was a program a few years back which allowed people to move in to some of these farms at literally no cost as long as they ran an organic farm and stayed for 5 years. Maybe after the 5 years was up whoever had opted in to the program opted out, but left their chair behind. @digitalrn Thanks Rick! Pretty isn't it? @kimmistephens Thank you Kimmi! @httpgeffed Thank you Colleen! @mrssmith Thank you Carla! See note to Karenann for possible explanation as to why. @summerfield Oh my quite elegant. Maybe in Milford (a few miles down the road) but this is a farm house, so I don't know how much time there was for rest! @anazad511 lol Ana! I do like to sit on my garden swing and read! You can find this and lots more at iPiccy.com, a free on-line photo processing site.
@tanja_1211 Thank you Tanja! I'm glad you like it. I enjoy working with black and white every now and then. @beachradish Thank you Beachradish! Hadn't really noticed that when I uploaded. I was looking for a balance in how close or far away the subject matter was in each shot.
@sarasdadandmom Thanks Terry! @dmariewms Thanks Marie! The first two shots are actually the opposite sides of the front porch- only reversed- the middle is the left side (facing the house) and the left side picture is the right side of the porch. No, I don't think I'd sit on it either, just to be on the safe side. @sangwann Thanks Dione! Yes, it looks inviting but I'm not sure I'd sit on this one. It seemed sturdy enough, but having been out in the weather for who knows how long, I'm not sure the cushion was clean! @filsie65 Thanks Phil- it does look inviting. @nicolecampbell Thanks Nicole! It's pretty and perfect for a porch if you have one!
@eudora Thank you Diane! iPiccy has some really fun layouts. They're free right now. I don't know if they'll be charging for them soon. We'll see... @inertie Thank you Inertia. It appears to be unoccupied right now, but I can't imagine why someone would leave this behind! @cimes1 Thank you Carole! Sure looks that way, but I don't know how long it's been in the weather. @bruni lol Bruni- it's not mine! But I think there's a line forming to the right in order to claim it.
@prttblues Thanks Bev! Actually you could if you want to run a farm of some sort. There is a program here in PA. that allows you to live there at a ridiculous price (like $5 a month-that's exaggerating, but I know it's really low) as long as you're running a working farm. It was being operated 5 or so years back (vegetable growing) and I have a feeling that's who left the chair behind. It certainly looks like it's from the time period of the house, but there's no way a chair like this would survive the elements had it been abandoned that long.
