Mull Over March Word: Old and new (Yes, both at the same time).
So, here's my entry: New iris shoots coming up between the old growth. "Enjoy it today," I told myself as I snapped their little green fingers, "Another big storm is on it's way tomorrow and you won't be seeing these for a while once it gets here!"
Did you hear about the lawyer from Ohio who decided to sue Punxsatawney Phil, the beloved Pennsylvania Ground Hog who predicts the number of weeks until Spring in early February? I guess some people really DO have a lot of time on their hands! Well, I don't think I'd take a ground hog to court (even our weather people miscalculate the weather and they have scientific equipment to assist them!), but I can certainly understand the fellow's frustration! I'm starting to think we should just by-pass Spring altogether and just go straight to Summer!
I thought that is what we usually do..by-passing Spring and going right straight into Summer...at least that is what it feels like most years. besides this Spring is suppose to be very cool. nice to see the new growth.

It finally came to me on the way home from church how I could accomplish it. @pflaume Thank you Lisa! Not really, I cannot get up and down easily with the arthritis in my knees and hip, so, I just place the camera on the ground and take lots of shots moving it around! @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian!
What a great shot! Love the green life among the brown dead! Great contrast... It's lawyers like that who clog up our courtrooms with frivolous lawsuits that make more important cases be put on the back burner... He has no case and will no way win. If he does, then the weather people will be next! Anyway.... Very nice shot. Love the POV too. Did you lay on the ground??? Great job! :)
Great capture of the new growth. I already have a couple of irises that have bloomed. We got a slight freeze last night and are expecting another tonight.

Funny- I thought you'd say you'd be in the court room cheering him on after all the cracks you've made about Phil's mistaken notion that Spring was coming early! @filsie65 Thanks Phil! I think it's just a humorous thing but probably "false advertising" and "mental anguish"- lol We are all so excited about that early Spring and so far it's a no-show! @sangwann Thank you Dione! @sarasdadandmom Thank you Terry! We were supposed to get the same storm that hit the mid-west but thankfully it decided to die out before it got here. All we had was a couple flurry showers and gray clouds for the remainder of the day. I am sooooo happy!!
@cimes1 Thanks Carole! I think it is just a joke- but I'm sure there are quite a few people who wish you really could do that! haha This has been the Spring that never was so far!
