I've been passing this house with its little jeep parked outside all month and have wanted to stop and take a picture of it. Today, after I picked up the mail, I finally did!
For my friends around the world- we have some humorous bumper stickers here in the US that are usually spotted on beat up old cars (we call them "clunkers"). They claim things like "My other car is a Jaguar" or "My other car is a Rolls Royce". Somehow this is supposed to make you think the clunker is a ruse to hide their massive wealth- but we all know the truth is that the clunker is all they can afford! These funny novelties are where my title comes from.
Thank you Ana, Taffy, Timothy, Dione, Alia, Yao, Rick, Carole, Laurie and Sally! How fun to learn those silly bumper stickers are an international phenomena!
@salza I confess the processing is a two-fold ruse. The original shot contained some unsightly wires running in front of the mini van and the trees behind the little jeep. I cloned them out but it was quite apparent that something had been doctored on the photo. If I'd been a little braver, I could have taken a shot without the wires in the way, but I didn't want the people inside to think someone was stalking their house! So I took a quick snap and paid the price of a poorly composed picture. However, when I applied the "posterize" effect it smoothed out the cloning and made the shot look like I planned it this way. Hooray for processing!
