Well, seems like I'm on a roll with these entries for the photo club's January meeting but truth be told I didn't get any decent pictures today! So I pulled this one up to play and decided to send it to an art gallery. I have two versions- this one, where I kept the photo as is and hung it on the wall; and another where the photo has been processed into an abstract painting and hung on the wall. The latter really shows no connection to the original, so I will probably not use it. However, I don't like how stark the original looks in this version. So I think I'll work on this a little more (unless you all convince me otherwise!).
One thing that I have noticed in this shot, and with my shot of the apples, is that the pictures are totally out of focus. I know that I took my apple shot in focus. And I also had taken it with a larger picture ration (I think that's what it's called although my simplistic brain wants to say I shot it in a rectangle and this is a square!). So, I'm dissatisfied with the sharpness of the original and how it effects my ability to play around with the shot. But I do like the idea here- so maybe it will be clever enough to raise a chuckle or two.
Art gallery for me to. It's still the star of the show hanging in the gallery just different show. Of course it has changed before it was just a shot of the car interior.now it is a wonderful piece of her hanging on the wall of an art museum
Thanks all! I learned tonight that it may be the way I'm opening these photos in Dropbox that is causing the blur. I will be fiddling around with it tomorrow to see if I can open it in the program that came with my camera. I'm am horrible at figuring this stuff out! But at least now I know that I should be able to get completely focused and full-sized pictures if I can figure out how to open the shots a different way.
