Rosehip at Tannersville Cranberry Bog by olivetreeann

Rosehip at Tannersville Cranberry Bog

One would think that since the colder temperatures have arrived most plant life would have died off. But it appears the peat under the surface of the bog keeps the earth warm enough that some plants still have something to show. I'm not sure if this is a specific kind of Rosehip or if it is the same kind found in most places, but I was amazed by all those little spiky things sticking out of it! I'd never seen that before.
Beautiful close up!
