Way back in early Spring a friend encouraged me to send in some photos to a magazine which is published in our area that features articles and photos of the Poconos. They hold an annual competition every year and my friend thought I had several pictures that would do well. I sent several in (you were allowed to send in 15, so I did!) and forgot about it...until yesterday when an email came with a link to the publication. I opened it up and WOW! I was in shock! Seven of my pictures had been accepted and several were winners. Two tied for second place, one tied for third and two won honorable mention; two were selected for print and one tied for first place!
If I was standing at a podium in some great hall right now giving an acceptance speech I'd be thanking 365 and all my faithful followers because none of these pictures would have ever happened if I wasn't out there hunting down pictures to post on here and share with you!
How about that?! I'm not a published photographer!
That is so exciting, Ann. Congratulations - isn't 365 a wonderful place. The inspiration and encouragement you find here sure does lead to wonderful things. Proud of you!!
so many congratulations ann! and thank you for sharing your success with us - i have a smile on my face as i say hooray for you :)))) i enjoyed looking through the magazine and you certainly faced some stiff competition from other entrants. just fantastic that so many of yours were chosen, and my favourite is the grist mill, for the glorious light and colour
