There was a bit of drama in the Los Angeles skies as we waited for our first Storm Watch of the season. This one was a doozy. About 15 minutes after I snapped this pic from my balcony, the skies opened up to the accompaniment of thunder and lightning. We even had a small amount of hail.
Then it let up and shortly after I got downtown, we had the mother of all downpours. This was quickly followed by flooded streets and numerous traffic lights going dark.
L.A. just can't handle rain. LOL
Friday I will do my best to get a pic of the Space Shuttle Endeavour as it makes its way down 12 miles of Los Angeles city streets from the airport to the Science Center. Officials are afraid of injuries to sightseers, so most access will be blocked and it will take a mighty effort to fight the crowds to sneak a peek. It might be an all day Endeavour.
Wonderful capture... we have loads over here in the UK... most of our summer was ruined by rain.... and now we are in autumn with winter looming.... a long wait for another summer... lol!! ♥
@aromatic I've heard that sunny days can be few and far between in the UK.
Here, every summer I Iong for the winter, and every winter, I dread the eventual arrival of summer. Winters are mild and summers can be brutal in Los Angeles.
