Mural Facelift

One of the murals under Sunset Blvd in Echo Park is getting a facelift (pun intended).
Low-life gang members like to scrawl their graffiti everywhere, even on these fantastic murals.

Little did I know that 3 days later, The Rolling Stones would be playing a surprise concert at a small venue (650 seats) just a few yards away.

Too bad I'm not on Twitter. Wouldn't have been able to go anyway because I was working, although I probably could have faked a real convincing cough. LOL
I actually drove by the location that night (Apr 27) and noticed a crowd and a large moving truck. I knew that whoever was playing, was a big draw. But THE STONES???? OMG.
They are playing at The Staples Center (a LARGE venue here in Los Angeles) in a few days and apparently did a test run at The EchoPlex.
