Every June, Pasadena holds a Chalk Festival. Artists turn the pavement into their canvas and the outcome is sometimes stunning. It has grown quite a bit over the years, and has shifted locations periodically to accommodate the larger number of 'canvases'. Its current location is a large outdoor shopping mall.
I have struggled with the best way to present the art, as I have SO many shots of the amazing efforts. I attended both Saturday and Sunday, so I was able to shoot many of the pieces during the working phase and then in the completed state.
Most of them will end up in my alternate album, possibly as diptychs of the befores and afters.
I alway admire the work of those artists, considering it takes one rainy day and all is gone, only when taken as a photograph the work of art remains. Great shot
