I spent most of the day at a friend's house. Watched Zero Dark Thirty, about the killing of Osama bin Laden.
THEN she tried to get me to watch Paint Your Wagon. We got part way through it and then I threw in the towel. LOL Just a little too hokey for me.
I wanted to get home to my kitty anyway, knowing she'd be stressed by the fireworks. I had gotten a mild sedative from the vet ahead of time, but decided it wasn't really needed. I kept trying to reassure her as she skittered through the house. She ultimately landed in my closet, which is the only 'room' with no outside walls, so she had the most insulation from the sound there.
I peeked out the window on occasion to watch the fireworks over the Rose Bowl. And that was my July 4th celebratory festivities.
I didn't think I'd have much photo opportunity at her house, so I snapped this before I ran out the door. I have no idea what kind of bird this is from, but I picked it up on a hike a couple of years ago.
