I haven’t seen many butterflies so far this summer, so I’m at least grateful that many of them have been the beautiful Papilio glaucus, or “Eastern Tiger Swallowtail.”

No need to submit to BAMONA or BugGuide for ID and I’ve already submitted an observation to establish their presence in southern Illinois this month.
