And washers.
I'm building a storage rack to go between the garage ceiling and the lifted garage door. [I'll give you a moment to think about the size of that space…] You're right; it's not a "deep" space. But 6-1/8" (15½ cm) is enough for three tables and some scrap lumber. I've more or less copied a design of my late father-in-law's using angles, lag screws and lots of nuts and bolts and washers as you see here. I took leftover angle rod to the hardware store to size the bolts and figured it was easier to carry everything loosely attached to the sizing piece!
