(Our hometown is in a different time zone; this was actually shot at 8:37 p.m. or 20:37.) We took the time to really look more carefully at this lovely stone church and now I want to go back and really spend some time making photos there!
@jbritt That was exactly my intent, Joan! Thank you!! It was one of those opportunities and I barely got it: the young man turned away right after I got this.
[I shot this portrait because of a tree that helped frame it, but the sky was overexposed, so I cropped it to landscape.]
Oh, this one just "got me!" Instant FAV The light is just right...the trees and flowers are very rich and saturated and the statue is lighter so your eyes are drawn to it....how she is looking down at him as he looks up...just lovely!
@espyetta I'm glad, MaryBeth! Something else worked in my favor: "he" is wearing a shirt that stands out from everything around him. I knew I wanted this shot, but it turned out better than I could have hoped!
