on a trek to the shores of lake ontario, we lucked out in finding this rare formation of Canada geese; it was a beautiful sight to behold, but the old P&S was not in the mood for shooting pictures. of the tons of pictures i took, i decided on this one even though the "private property" sign got included in the frame.
the flock glided slowly in the water and one moment we got to see all whites (their breasts) and then all brown, and then all black. it was amazing how they glided in sync - that's probably where we humans got the idea of synchronized swimming.
the flock glided the entire expanse of the lake until we couldn't see it anymore and only a few geese remained by the rocky shore.
