this is the amphibious bus that is called hippo bus. a visit to toronto would not be complete if you don't take this tour where it will take you around downtown toronto and surrounding areas as well as a water tour around of toronto island, by water! yes, this funny looking bus can swim.

it's been raining the whole day and apparently it will last until monday. i went out earlier and it wasn't nice so i wasn't able to take photos. this would do for today, i suppose.

if you don't know yet, on the last weekend of may, "doors open toronto" is happening and there are a lot of historical houses and buildings that are open free to the public. i've done that 7 of the last 8 years and i've seen quite a few photographers like me who see something interesting in a dusty, ugly corner of a ceiling that the rest of the public don't.
