“keep your face always toward the sunshine - and shadows will fall behind you.” - Walt Whitman
the morning started out bright but hazy which summed up the whole day - hazy and muggy! that pretty much tells us what summer is going to be like. well, we asked for the "warm" weather, did we not?
the bright sunshine cast shadows of some weeds growing outside my bedroom window (which has a peel-away smoke screen because i hate blinds and i'm lazy to put the drapes on). i was mostly contented staring and admiring it, when i saw my camera on my dresser which seemed to tell me "don't just stand there, take a picture!" and so i did. i thought it would be a filler one of these days, and since it's the last day of the selfie challenge, i'd post a selfie. but i kind of like the way this turned out, and i thought the pictures i took at lunch were so-so. so, here it is. sooc, apart from the rounded edges which i did in picnik.
i used to love the cold weather, in fact, i love winter (oh, the looks i get when i say that!). but i find that i don't have any aches and pains in my body when it's warm/hot. hahaha!
@cscecil - thanks, CS. there's a wooden fence beside us and at first the shadows were that of the fence and the weeds, but the sun rose so quickly when i came to my senses the fence shadow was gone. i'm sure it will be the same thing tomorrow, but things like this look different each time. thanks again.
