"mr. moonlight" by the beatles

"Mr. Moonlight.
You came to me one summer night
And from your beam you made my dream
And from the world you sent my girl
And from above you sent us love
And now she is mine I think you're fine
Cause we love you, Mr. Moonlight"
(vocals by John Lennon, composed by R.L. Johnson, from the album "Beatles for Sale", 1964)

The Beatles covered the song in their live act years before it appeared on record. Their recording of the song remains the best known version, featuring Latin-style percussion, prominent vocal harmonies, and, unusually, an organ solo. John Lennon sings lead, with backing vocals from Paul McCartney and George Harrison. (source: wikipedia.org)

the choices for today were many: Maxwell Silver Hammer, Misery, Money, Mean Mr. Mustard, and Mother Nature's Son. but i think i love the voice of John Lennon in this song (if you hadn't by now noticed, most of the songs i've chosen are lennon songs :-)). it also reminded me that when the beatles was starting to be popular in the old country, i'd always play my 45 of this song over and over to the consternation of my progenitor. ah, sweet memories!

this was taken at dusk. i just wished the moon wasn't that high up as there's too much space between it and the sea, n'est-ce pas?
Lovely! I can see why the moon being high up bugs you, but then again, the crop makes the photo so "tall" and that mimickes the mast of the sailboat. I like it. So pretty.

I really really like this shot!! just everything, the spatial proportions, colors, simplicity...just WOW! FAV!! I would hang this on my wall for sure it really has a mood about it. I think the way you did the horizon is what is working so well..I see different layers of color that tickle the eyes =)
