i was testing the panorama function of my camera as i know i would like to take such pictures when i get to the islands in two weeks' time.
this is a retired ship that is touted as one of toronto waterfront's attractions. it is now a seafood restaurant. ate there a long time ago when i first came to canada. the food was so-so then. i heard now there's a new chef and that the food is superb. will check it out one of these days.
The panorama is great! Beautiful shot! (And Barry Manilow did this on an album of big band music. I think it came out in the 90's so it's not that old any more!)
@silverdraggin - hi, meiska, welcome back. thank you for the comments.
@pamfromcalgary - when it's dreary all morning and the sun suddenly comes out and shines like this, one knows a photo is a must. i got lucky at lunchtime this happened so i ran to the waterfront and take a pic of the boat. the clouds were a bonus. thank you, pam.
@sanera - thank you, sam. it does look quite larger in here than in person, doesn't it? hmmm.
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. rod stewart also did the song also with bette middler in his 'great american songbook' series.
@sunnygreenwood - i think the restaurant still opens during winter. i'm sure they would have to do a thorough clearing of both pavements and planks to get business. the heating cost must be enormous as it's always extremely cold out in the water. thank you, anne.
@catsmeowb - i'm flying to san francisco to meet up with my friend on wednesday. then we take a flight to manila the next day which would get us to our final destination on friday night which is your saturday morning here. i'm so excited! then back here on the 2nd of december. just a tad over 3 weeks. thank you, camille.
I really go to China, next week, on tuesday. And make a lot of lovely pictures of that wonderful country. I visit my oldest son, who stays @ Dali, Yunnan, China.
@ilseal - but you're not taking the slow boat, are you? :-) yes, do take a lot of pictures. looking forward to those. and good for you to visit your son. that would be lovely! thank you, ms. ilse.
Hi Summerfield, some how I seem to have lost track of you but I am back. Great shot. The closest to something like this here is our riverboat which offers a dinner cruise
