flashback

filler from last monday. it is dark, gloomy, dreary and wet today in toronto and when i look out the windows, it's like i'm inside an airplane thousands of feet high because all i can see is thick fog or mist. but i have files in my hands and not a drink. that's enough to strip one of whatever limited creativity is brewing in your head.

the ashbridges marina can be seen on the corner of lakeshore and coxwell and that is my waterfront haunt since last summer. here, i've captured some of the water fowls having a swim on the cold water. they are relegated to a small portion of the water because of the film of ice that had formed on the surface.

i could have posted a picture of the islands from my vacation but that is so last year. i think my first vacay this year is going to be in viva las vegas! at the end of april.

i shall catch up with yours, folks, on the weekend. thank you for coming by and for commenting.
I really like the composition of this! We have had fog and rain and spitting snow here in GA for days...it was 70 degrees two days ago and 27 degrees this morning as I write this. That is so messed up! haha Sorry you are in a fog lately! But this pic from earlier is gorgeous!

Oh but this is pretty and serene!

Gorgeous! The ducks really add to the pov and water movement. Beautiful how the ice forms!

i adore this shot. had to fav it. really like the composition - the way the branches drape down, the ice in the background and the grouping of the ducks. drawn to water shots, find them very serene, and obviously this one just really appeals to me. nice, nice, nice.

very 'winter' :-) I can't help wondering what it would be like if you cropped out the land at the top...cos it would be hard to tell if the branches were reflected trees (of which there are some) or hanging branches. but that might just be me :-)

@patticake - i tried to do that but lost the depth of the scenery so i kept it as it is. i'm going back there today to see how it's looking so you guys just might see another shot of this. thank you, patti.
