this is the 'gardener's cottage' in toronto's kew gardens.
originally named "the honeymoon cottage", the cottage was built in 1902 and was a gift by Kew Williams to his new wife. in 1907, the city expropriated the land owned by the williams family including the surrounding lands and made it as a municipal park, which drew crowds of people to take part in sporting events and picnics. the new purpose for the cottage was the residence for the "grounds keeper" or "gardener" which is how the present name was created.
