"there will be another song for me
for i will sing it
there will be another dream for me
someone will bring it
i will taste the wine while it is warm
and never let you catch me looking at the sun
and after all the loves of my life
after all the loves of my life
i'll be thinking of you.
i will take my life into my hands
and i will use it
i will win the worship in their eyes
and i will lose it
i will have all the things that i desire
and my passions flow like rivers in the sky
and after all the loves of my life
after all the loves of my life
you're still going to be the one..."
another shot of the berczy statue, this time under sunny and clear blue skies. i think the quote sums up passion. can you guess the title of the song and who sang it or who popularized it in your country?
MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark, all the sweet green icing flowing down....someone left the cake out in the rain and I don't think that I can take it cause it took so long to make it and I"ll never have that recipe again.......! You do like this statue, don't you! (It is very cool!)
@cscecil - you're supposed to be at least 18 years younger than me and yet you know this song? i'm impressed! i do like that statue. don't you? thank you, CS.
You have a love and a passion for this statue, my friend. And you've photographed it beautifully from all angles. I love the words that you've written here . . but I never liked the recording of McArthur's Park.
Hubby and I are guessing it was Richard Harris who sang it. Nice shot- this one has an interesting contrast with the buildings in the background there.
@karenann - i love that song, especially that part i printed. it was my national anthem when i was young :-) thank you, karenann.
@olivetreeann - yes, it was sung by richard harris but i like best the motown version of the temptations. when i first heard that song, i was lazing around in bed, but i heard that from the neighbour's radio and it made me bolt upright. one of my faves. thank you, ann.
@myautofocuslife - thank you, livia. i had to take this shot when the sky cleared. that statue embodies love, romance and passion so i stuck to the same subject but did different angles.
@jannkc - yes! i meant to say that, too. :-) thank you, jann.
so, who sang it?
