"bubble tea" is one of my favourite indulgences. specifically honey green tea with tapioca. first they put just the right amount of tea and honey together in a blender and agitate them to blend them well. then the agitated mix is poured over freshly cooked tapioca and topped with crushed ice, and voilà! bubble tea!
nice to have on a really hot summer day or as a 'dessert' after a good lunch of salmon sushi. lunch of champions, i say!
@olivetreeann - it also tastes not just interesting but sweet and refreshing. thank you, ann. (almost did another swap, but work's too hectic for some reason and i just felt like bubble tea which gave me the idea for the prompt!)
Have never had it nor have I heard of it. But judging by the photos and what you described, it sound delicious! I'd try it for sure and I love sushi! So count me IN!
Oh wow, you make your own bubble tea! That is awesome. If I felt like one, I'd walk over to the mall and buy one. I like chewing on the tapioca balls. But I always have trouble deciding which flavor of tea I want. By the way, that salmon wrapped sushi looks delicious! 8D~
This sounds amazing. Think I might try it. Thanks for putting it out there. Nice capture by the way. Though a still life, it feels like there's movement. Guess that's something inherent in the mind when it comes to kitchens. A photo like this brings smells, sights, sounds, tastes all from memory.
@myautofocuslife - i always go for the honey green tea, livia. the taste of honey in it is fabulous. like you, i love chewing the tapioca. sometimes i get the lychee flavour, that's also very good and very refreshing. thank you, livia.
@losthorizon - thank you, beau, for that very generous comment. i wrote a simple recipe for the bubble tea in ann h. lefevre's @olivetreeann album as a comment.
bubble tea sounds amazing and can't wait to try making it. 2 of my favorites things; green tea and tapioca. i don't have tapioca often but do enjoy it. i like the 'still life' feel of the right side of your shot and the vibrant colors.
Ok your 2 words for your haiku are 'agitate' and 'sushi'....go!
when agitated
i stuff me with raw salmon
sushi's best for lunch.
we should do this everyday!
