This color and shade of white reminds me instantly of "purity!" That's how it strikes me at first glance. Reading your comment tho, I'm not sure if purity is the feeling that you want the viewer to have!! However, I still see that .... purity and innocence. AND I love it!!!
Simply beautiful. Love the soft tones. Its amazing that you've been able to capture a different feel, a different personality for each photo. Sign of a great photographer. :)
@bill_fe - can't find licorice root. don't want to buy licorice candy (as a matter of principle!). so would i be such a meanie if i post chocolate? :-D
@summerfield Not as far as I'm concerned. There's a local food co-op in Madison. It specializes in organic, local, healthy food as well as imported items. It also has a fairly large home / personal care items for a small store. Some of them are organic, or at least good for the environment. The licorice root was in the health & wellness area, not the bulk foods where I expected to find it.

The Spice Trader has cut licorice sticks. I'm not sure of the other four places listed.
@bill_fe - in january, i submitted to deb a list of possible themes. only a few made the cut. i wanted siblings for this week and it became licorice. can i tell you that my interest in the group is waning? i think i will ask anita if she wants to replace me. or nancy. or maybe another guy so you won't be so alone in there. :-)
@bill_fe - what about the themes i emailed you the other day? or can you suggest any themes that you like? we'll make it work as i think that's my problem, too. the irony is...well, we probably should discuss this in private emails rather than here. who's to say one of the ladies would not see it. but i can't go yet because of katy (grammyn). but please don't leave me there. :-(
@bill_fe - i meant later when i get home. i don't want to bring my tablet this week because it distracts more so than having 365 open on my computer. so let's discuss later, k?
@roth - brown maybe? hehehehe! thank you, sue.
@karenann - let's go with your 'purity' concept. i like it. thank you, karenann.
@slash - susan, thank you.
@pandorasecho - more coming :-) thank you, dixie.
@pamfromcalgary - thank you, pam.
