it's hard to convince her but she let me take her photo after i begged too much. i didn't do justice with the close-ups i took where she had a forced smile. i like her much better when she smiles or laughs, like she does here.
today was sunny, a strange precursor to the rain being predicted for tonight. i took this at the courtyard of one of the high rises near our office building.

like your processing choice. as others have mentioned, it gives the portrait a timeless feel so it will be difficult to place date to when it was taken. many people like that. also, with the statue in front of her, it was a nice choice - like how the texture of the statue seems to echo the curls in her hair. or vice versa. nice.
