i didn't think my shots would come out this well. i saw her coming as i was getting in the car. i thought i was too near and she was going a bit slower than most of the bikers that passed by and i was afraid i might not get a good panning shot. she saw me and in my first shot her eyes were visibly looking at me sideways. thankfully the camera didn't jam; it has a habit of jamming on me when i press the shutter too fast. i got three more of her but i like this best.
this is for the one-night stand challenge and today's challenge calls for a panning shot.
i very seldom ask my viewers this, but please view large if you are so inclined to appreciate the movement more. thank you.
@salza - thank you, sally. yes, i was lucky before the bikers that passed by before and after her were too fast and before i could focus my camera on them, they'd be gone! she was going a little bit slower than most but still quite fast. still, all of my shots of her were quite good.
@claireuk - thank you, claire. been wanting to do something as crisp as this one. i have other panning shots before but not as happy as the result i got in this one. maybe i wasn't too tense when i took this. i tend to get tense when i'm taking photos of strangers. in fact, i tend to tense up when taking photos outside of my home. hmmm...i never really thought about this before.
