"Your challenge this week is to do something with a soft focus in pastels...subject of your choice..."
that's the challenge set for me by my partner this week, @tryeveryday michelle blackford.
i couldn't find any useful write-up on this subject on the net so i used my 'crafty' instinct. i know "pastel" refers to a soft and delicate shade or color, as in powder blue or baby pink. and "soft" in visual arts means something that is easy on the eyes.
(i'm winging this one, folks. don't take my word for it.)

thank you for your prayers for my brother. his condition is a little bit better but he's still on life support as he's been heavily sedated and on a lot of anti-biotics. we'll see what happens tomorrow. i'm planning to make a trip down to chicago but i may either fly or take the train as i don't want to stress myself more by driving (hahaha! you know why i don't want to drive...if i do i won't be able to shoot!).

It definitely looks soft and pastel- nice job! I keep looking for some lace too! lol I must have missed the update on your brother- did he get a transplant?
@olivetreeann - thank you, ann. i did include an old lacy pink negligee from way back when i was still a size 5 but i thought the pearl and hangers were a better choice. yes, my brother had a kidney transplant last wednesday but there's a few problems so they had to put him on dialysis to help the new kidney because his blood pressure was acutely low. he's still sedated and the breathing problem is a bit more in control. thank you, ann. much appreciated.
@karenann - thank you, KA. brother is still heavily sedated so he's on lifesupport until his body stabilizes more. i know he will pull through this.

This is gorgeous!! perfect pastel tones...not too faded at all. I love the pearls too. The softness is so beautiful!! Great job! Fav for me!
