same setting wednesday - on the streets of toronto
this is our street from yesterday morning after the superstorm's onslaught: just a lot of leaves on the ground and the cleaners are still nowhere to be found. you can see by the expression on the face of that lady on the right on her scooter that she was wondering what i was doing taking a photo of the trash on the pavement.
and that's it for october. tomorrow it's a new month and we'll see what's in store for us!
thank you, my friends, for your views and kind comments; know that they are much appreciated.
Just need a pair of wellies and then so much fun to be had jumping in all those leaves:0) Less fun would be the storm that left them there, are you over the worse?
@salza - thank you, sally. as you can see in the background, the skies were still covered with very dark clouds. well, it's been that way for more than a week now.
@claireuk - thank you, claire. you know, when i first came to canada and saw all these leaves on the ground, i was so enthused in helping my sister clear her backyard. the novelty has wore off the next year. hahaha. the city wasn't so bad, it's the surrounding areas that suffered quite a devastation, mostly falling trees on cars. there's only one known death attributed to it. we actually just got a scintilla of the storm's might; some new jersey and new york areas weren't so lucky though.
Nice record of what the storm left you. As Sandy blew in I was watching out the back window and actually saw one of the old dead trees in the neighbor's property go down. Now I can say if a tree falls in the forest that it actually does make a sound.
