this is the view from the other side of the bridge from last sunday's shot, as promised.
the lights and pillars on the upper left is lakeshore blvd., one of the sub-arteries in the city. i have driven along that highway for so many years and i didn't know until tonight that below that highway is this canal. and i've come to this place a number of times already. the city is really becoming a different place for me now that i get to explore its out of the way places and vistas. this photography thing is really an eye opener.
i intended this to be my post for the thankful4 segment, but i have been trying to do some light art the past few days, albeit with little success. tonight however i tried to copy abhijit's wonderful light art. no comparison, of course, but he says he likes it, so check it out: http://365project.org/summerfield/365-again/2012-11-06
love the softness of the reflections. you know, sometimes ones like these are so much better than the sharp, crisp ones - this shot is romantic, moody, has so much atmosphere. fav.
@salza - you should, at least once or twice. it's good practice and it may come handy one day that you're out and about. thank you, sally.
@claireuk - thank you, claire.
@abhijit - thank you, ab.
