in my foray at the islands yesterday, i lingered around a bridge where i took this shot. this was the reason i lost track of time and missed the ferry i was supposed to take to go back. it was quite a long way to terminal and i should have walked back two minutes earlier. oh, well. water under the bridge now, ain't it?
it was foggy in the morning and the light haze lingered all day but it was still a beautiful day for photography. i shall definitely come back here at least once a month and explore all facets of these islands. funny how i live right next to a treasure and never really knew it was there.
i would imagine that in the spring through early fall boats and yachts adorn this waterway. i would also imagine it would be difficult to take photographs then because there'd be a lot of people to spoil the view. so we'll take this for now.
Beautiful capture Summerfield. Glad you found such a great location to shoot. Love how there's no boats. Makes the imagination run with thoughts of boats and people moving up and down the water. Hope you get back here again...would love to see what else you can capture.
this is really gorgeous... i need to get out there again... i want to go before dawn one day to catch the sun rise (ward island ferry leaves early enough to make this possible at this time of year ;p)
