mad minute word(s) monday

nine days' wonder is a phrase meaning thing or event that creates a brief sensation.

this arrangement is from our reception. it's a sensational arrangement of anthurium and foliage and some other flowers the names of which skipped me. the flowers are supposed to last only a week but the way it looks it's going to stretch to nine days so i'm taking the phrase very literally.

A floral artist has been at work here - they are the other side to the photographer, I think- creation out of what is around into art! Lovely to see!

The bright colors are very celebratory. Good shot! As of Sunday, September 22- you and I are the only two folks that took a shot for this. Now what?! Are there too many challenges out there? Are people overwhelmed with life right now? I'm scratching my head.

I don't know what to think either. Perhaps it has outlived its popularity as there were two other people who said they'd participate and I even went to their projects just to see if they forgot to tag their pictures- but nothing.

@summerfield @olivetreeann hey guys... i am swamped... work is crazy and the kids' sports schedule is completely chaotic just now... so i've barely had a moment for photography... posting a couple things today and calling it a night...

as for this challenge... hard to say... i've been too busy to really even take stock of how busy others are... maybe taking a break makes sense just now... i expect on top of the other challenges kicking about there will be something on for october what with halloween an' all

@northy @summerfield I absolutely agree with both of you- let it rest for Fall and maybe even until the end of the year and then re-introduce it in January. Maybe by that time when the holidays are over people will be looking for some fun and inspiration. Thanks to both of you for the input. In this case three heads were better than one. (o: !!
