I am already feeling cliche putting up yet another bug macro shot, but I really liked this one because it is so incredibly homely looking, gives meaning to the word bug-eyed, has hairy legs, a little wing movement...anyway, I had to post it.
My brother and sister-in-law just got here today for a fairly quick visit. They drove all the way from Baltimore to Chicago for a wedding, then drove another 6 hours up here to visit us, and then drive 2 days back on Friday. So I am hoping they have a VERY good time. Today's photo was taken on a walk near the house to visit Peter's garden. Then tonight we saw an amazing concert by the Nairobi Chamber Chorus (see photo in other album -- captured the magic of the evening: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-08-06 )
He is wonderful and hairy..and knobby and shiny.Awesome detail and focus on those compound eyes.I say cliche~away....I love macro bug shots.:D I learn so much about a whole other world that is right under our noses and beneath our feet.
Well hello there little fly. Such clarity and focus, having shoot some macros myself I really can appreciate how hard this is, so very good job done. Really like the shallow dof here too, giving the fly a central focus.
@olivetreeann Thanks Ann @colie and Colie. It's been one of the surprising things about my summer -- looking for bugs, snakes, etc rather than trying to avoid them!
Just so fabulous but yukkie :0)
