Yesterday, the trees were green. Yesterday, the sky was blue. Today, walking across the parking lot in a drizzle, with a huge storm coming in and the sun poking through the clouds, I spotted this golden branch of a tree that must have just turned, and behind it was the most amazing stormy sky. This is my first post for fall.

What clouds! I know what you mean about those leaves suddenly turning -- I looked out and saw leaves falling, too. Good thing you canceled your trip because flying in those clouds would not have been fun. I like the way you have juxtaposed two different kinds of "change."
Love the way the sun touches just the tips of the branches! Some of my favourite times to shoot have been when the sun peeks out of dark clouds - that hint of gold against the grey sky is so appealing.
Beautiful autumn colours and wonderful moody sky!! I am still waiting to see some autumn colour here - just the Chestnut trees so far which are always the first to turn. Love the light on the trees!!
@mzzhope@mariyakey Thanks so much for the favs, Hope and Mariya! This shot was a particular favorite of mine because it was captured in a mundane parking lot between the L stop and our house. And the light only lasted about a minute or two. Just pure luck!
