My get pushed partner this week has challenged me to create something comical, silly, or absurd. I'm guessing Danbo and Giraffe would be insulted to be categorized in this way, though. Danbo can talk anybody into anything. While I was working on a project that involves somewhat tedious analyses, I could see them in the background, Danbo negotiating a ride, Giraffe finally giving in, and then Danbo somewhat clumsily climbing the lily (some may remember he'd lke to be a botanist - http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2013-10-21). They were unaware that I was photographing the whole thing, but when I showed them this sequence (they can't read so I'm safe with how I've categorized the shot for get-pushed), they said they're okay with my posting.

@darylo You can probably tell I'm going nuts on this project...reading state standards, comparing them to current syllabi and assignments, showing how our programs are meeting state standards (now listed at over 120), and doing it for 4 certification programs for grad and undergrad. My mind is going numb and I decided a photographic interlude was the only way I could go on!! Thanks for the shared giggle, and now back to work! BTW, these little systems of thinking about how to use 365 are so freeing! I'm finding it more appealing to photograph daily just knowing I don't have to!
@taffy Wow, you do have a full load. I actually quit my teaching job this semester. It was far too much for the pay I was getting. I'm nervous that I've taken this step, but my home business (tutoring and consulting) will have to do until I can find a better gig in education. If you are looking for a new employee, let me know. :) I feel so liberated from the "have to" thing on 365.
Thank you Taffy for giving me a much needed giggle!! Love this collage!! Wow you sound as if your are buried with very complicated work. I am pleased for you that 365 can give you some respite!!
@psychographer Thanks -- I'd totally missed this theme -- was just doing the six word stories for fun. So I just tagged all three. It's fun seeing the others as well.
Ha ha brilliant story. I have to confess I didn't quite get the whole Danbo thing at first but he's really growing on my now and I'm really enjoying all the fun and creative shots that people are posting.
Love this, and sounds like a perfect way to spend a break from work. Slightly shocked that despite your job in education you haven't taught Danbo to read!
@rachelwithey Heehee!! You've given me some ideas for Danbo's upcoming photos. I wonder how he'll do if I try to teach him to read? And what kind of mischief that might cause! Thanks!
@paulaw Paula, I totally know what you mean. When I first started 365, I kept seeing these "weird" Danbo photos and wondered why anyone would do these. Now that I have my own Danbo, I am hooked!
@annied Thanks Annie!! Giraffe took a rest today and some of his pals went on the safari with Danbo. I'm glad you liked this. Danbo is helping me get through these dull winter photo days.
This is so cute ! I'm going to go down town tomorrow. I have half of my challenge done but wanted to add a brick & mortar aspect. We do not have any high rises but I have an idea. I was out of town for the weekend.
It runs until Saturday so we're still ok to enter :o) xx
Thanks all for enjoying my funny little story with Danbo! Paul, look for him in the leaves when you get to the giraffes tomorrow. Kim, I started a children's story in 1977. When I'd read to kids in school to show an example of the revision process, they started saying things like, 'your story is older that I was alive!' I doubt I'll ever finish it.
