Daxu Ancient Town Street by taffy

Daxu Ancient Town Street

We visited this area, meeting one of the local citizens and his wife, toured his home and took photos as the sun set and lanterns were lit. I took this as we began walking up the lane to meet our host for the evening. For the scene after dark, check our Junko's post at http://365project.org/jyokota/365/2016-11-07
As you once followed Kathie and Ian McGuire’s pages, please read this message, Thanks Yao http://365project.org/discuss/general/28832/ian-and-kathie-our-365-friends

It looks a very interesting place , It must look good when the lanterns are lit

I love the deep textures you've brought out in this one, the wide angle that makes me feel I am walking up this street (and I am!). I linked your red lanterns to my red lanterns but I will add this link now, too.

Oh my goodness- it would take me three days to get through that alley with all the peeling paint, stones, and other interesting things! fav
November 17th, 2016
Oh gosh, what a stunning shot. So much to see here, dozens of photos in this scene alone. I really like the way you've composed the shot with the alley disappearing around that bend. The tuk-tuk gives added anachronistic interest too.

@golftragic Easily a place where with a macro and other lenses, and plenty of time, you could spend hours. We only had a little time there...tried to make the most of it.
