Sun Overpowers Moon, Moon Fades Away by taffy

Sun Overpowers Moon, Moon Fades Away

After last night's more dramatic sunset, the moon set this morning was far more subtle. In fact, I figured I wouldn't even see it as the sun was getting brighter as the moon lowered in the sky. I took this just before the sun totally won and the moon more or less faded from the naked eye view. Taken from our deck looking out to High Island -- where the sun was setting last night.
Five more days before we return to Chicago - move in date is tentatively October 19th!
A lovely shot and clear sky. I suppose you cannot wait to finally move ;-)

Love all ghat space and your composition. Hope all goes smooth with the move, and this difficult time is over. Must be fascinating to unpack all those things, you have not had/seen for so long.

I love how the moon starts out so boldly in the morning and then slowly fades as the sun works its way up in the sky. Great shot- love the wide open sky.
