I thought this was an odd coupling of the wolf and magpie. It was either a fearless magpie or a wolf who favored a different type of protein. They were actually quite close to one another for at least a minute. Long enough for a quick bite/
Wolf probably can't believe his luck - a snack turned up and had no idea they made a good menu addition! Makes for a fascinating juxtaposition of an image
this is like a glimpse of the talking animals kingdom - i'm sure there's a story somewhere about where all animals can talk, much like a children's book. maybe in the animal paradise of @Weezilou - one more story to write when i retire (if someone doesn't write it first before then). great capture, miss taffy. aces!
Wow this is amazing. It looks like something from Aesop's fables. How did you just come across a wolf like that? I don't think I've ever seen a wolf with my own eyes.
@louannwarren@gardenfolk Thanks for letting me know! Exciting to see it there! @emma78 Thanks Emma...this was taken at the Centennial Zoo in Colorado Springs. The birds were free to fly in and out as there was no 'rooftop' to the area. The wolf (mom and dad) roam the area freely, but it is all enclosed. A one-way mirror let me see inside, and a camera inside the den showed the 8 week old wolf puppies. It was quite an experience.
