Taken while on the Garden Tour job. Have gone through over 300 photos, culled them, processed, and organized to share with the coordinators. Whew...I could never be professional photographer. Too much pressure and it takes some of the fun out of it. But I did like this fellow -- taken in one of the most amazing gardens I've seen, with tons of flowers, pathways, and structures. Never imagined a place like that on the island! Will probably be posting from the tour for the week...too many images to just move on.
Beautiful capture Taffy! I can understand the pressure and how it would take some of the pleasure away. I once thought of doing weddings and portraits as thatβs where the money is but again would have hated the pressure! Enjoy all that sorting and I look forward to seeing some more images! Fav!
Utterly fantastic, well up to your usual stratopheric standards Taffy. Very much looking forward to seeing more of the Garden Tour. Shame about feeling the pressure but I can well identify with that, it's why I don't go to photo clubs or the like. Don't mind online competitions though.
I get more excited about seeing bees lately... the honeybees who used to be everywhere are much more rare... even happy to see a bumble bee. We mow almost 3 acres each week... I mow down in the field and the woods, and I leave strips of clover, milk weed, tolerate a few blackberries along the lower fence to try to encourage the bees. We leave about an acre for a hay and the remainder of our property is woods, part of it rather steep, but the deer and turkey don't seem to mind.
Great capture, sounds like fun, although I know from being involved in a similar project here it can take a lot of time, but it's good to have access to these amazing gardens to take photos.
