Spent a busy day getting the house ready to close down amidst a massive back issue - bad timing! Luckily Jim had some great pain pills so am feeling better. Tomorrow is our last day here and it's going to rain all day, so this is it for our sunsets here. Leaving for Chicago early Tuesday and won't be back til next spring or summer. Always bittersweet when our time here comes to an end and I'm once again a full-time city person. Busy week ahead so likely to be behind once again...
Oh no what bad timing for you to get a bad back! Hope it’s better soon especially as you are travelling! This is such a beautiful image adding to your fabulous collection of BI sunsets! You should pick your favourite images and print them large for your wall in Chicago. They will be such soothing images to look at while you are in the hustle bustle of city life! At least you know you will get some stunning sunsets when back home in your apartment! Safe journey!
Fantastic sunset. I'm sorry to hear about your back. YOu need to take it easy but that's a bit hard when you are on the move! Have a safe trip and a Fav from me for this lovely image
Ouchies! Having had spinal surgery myself just over a decade ago, I heartily sympathise with back pain of any sort. Wishing you a speedy and thorough recovery from the pain. What a gorgeous farewell sunset. Bliss........
Makes you wonder at the world.... it's awe inspiring to see something like this! Puts you nicely in your place as a wee dot in the universe. Fave. Hope the back improves but you won't have done it any good working through pain killers...take it easy fir a bit now.
My back isn't out, but my knee has done me in. But sunsets are almost a thing of the past here! More rain today and more tomorrow. What a beautiful sunset and a nice close to the season. Safe travels!
Love the tones in this sunset, it must be hard to leave the island but at least you've got no shortage of photo opportunities when you get back to the city. Hope your back improves soon.
Great composition. I like the triangular shape of the visible sea and the charcoal like colour contrasting with that incredibly orange sky! Fav of course
Hope you feel better soon!
