Power in Black and White by taffy

Power in Black and White

I'm fascinated by wind turbines and how they towered over the foothills.
Travels are over for a bit and it's nice to be back home. Now to start catching up.
Love it - thought this was @fbailey at first! Love the way you have brought out the darkness and given the blades such highlights. Looks almost toy like in a way, like a set from Thunderbirds! I really like it.
And welcome home!

Great way to capture turbines. I have lots of semi-failed attempts. But we like the turbines, they look like giant white herons. Fav

i'm trying to imagine what I would have thought if I had seen a row of these in the middle of the Namibian desert. But I agree they are fascinating and can take their place well in most landscapes. These make a fine line through your composition. Now , im assuming they were not really like this and that you have combined the tops of wind turbines with electricity pylons, to get us thinking bout their place in the landscape? or is that just me being daft?

This is a fabulous shot of these turbines. They rise up like alien beings as I drive through West Texas, they are definitely part of our world now.

I love the drama you've captured here... and I've never seen them on trellised pylons before either.

@lynnz @helenhall Thanks for your visit and comments! These were taken as is, no changes to their base at all. I thought they were fascinating because of the different bases.
