Sunset usually provides a treat, but tonight was unlike anything I've seen since we've moved here. The entire sky was a blanket of clouds, with the setting sun lighting them from underneath in a combination of purples and reds. It really was amazing and this doesn't begin to do it justice.

Coincidentally, Junko was photographing with one of our friends, about 20 miles north of here! https://365project.org/jyokota/365/2020-01-08
@jgpittenger I do agree -- it should be lighter but on my computer, it is lighter than it shows up here. I actually had raised shadows and it looked unreal (as if the sunset looks real!) so I lowered them again.
I find it so funny that we simultaneously took photos of the sky and we weren't even together! Because we often are side by side, people will assume we were!
Like a blanket is being pulled over or off the city. Truly nothing short of phenomenal. A wonderful coincidence that you and Junko shot this around the same time. FAV!
isn't it unbelievably amazing? i have been appreciating the skies since i was young and i love clouds, but never have i seen shows like this until the last several years. the world's climate is indeed changing. mighty incredible work you did with the stitching, miss taffy. aces!
