Perhaps this is evidence of too much time on my hands coupled with avoidance behavior and not being that mobile. Participating pelicans are from our early March trip to Los Cabos, Mexico in a different lifetime and world. Thank you, pelicans.
Haha, Paying attention, while waiting for that perfect nature shot gives you lots of time to watch animal behaviour that I am sure many birdwatchers miss.
I have spent hours at times waiting for something to appear in the right place with the right light without something else being in the way.
While I am sitting still and waiting, they wander in and go oh there's an A & B, a D, FH and two Ps oh and several R, S, T s then they've gone. They saw the birds, but they weren't observing the behaviour. You were. I have always been in to nature and birds in particular, but have learned so much more about their actual lives by just sitting and watching and waiting. Brilliant observation. Fav
I'm laughing hysterically as I read this and think, "Taffy, you've got too much time on your hands!" but it truly is funny...and well captured! Do you think we're all getting a little stir crazy?
@tosee@dide@vignouse@ukandie1@Weezilou Yay -- that was my goal! Bring a smile to folks faces especially now. I literally was going through old files trying to find something to create that was funny. You've made my day with your comments!
@markp Thanks for the fav, Mark, and for such a thoughtful response to the images. You are so right -- photographers have the joy of seeing the behavior, not just the creature.
@jgpittenger Glad to have entertained!! Each day I'm improving and my doctor said I should be okay in about 2 weeks. Today I shifted from using the walker in the condo to using a walking stick which was a big step. At least most of the pain has subsided to a manageable level. Just such a dumb thing to have done.
Made me laugh out loud! Well done, this is a great bit of fun. Hope the pain is easing off.
PS I tagged you in Louise's image as she is looking for help for a night time sky shot tonight. If you pick this up, she'd be grateful for any tips!
This is so funny Taffy giving me a much needed laugh! I love it when you see animals and birds doing silly things and even better when you manage to capture it ! Good news you have a little improvement in your injury! Feel better soon!
This is so much fun Taffy - thanks for producing it and sharing it with us. Anything that brings a smile to a face is very much appreciated at the moment. :0
@helenhall Many thanks for the kind wishes. And for the good idea. It's a fun way to peruse older shots -- for their comic potential rather than composition!
