Hoping the day brings joy, peace, comfort, or simply quiet and relaxation to my U.S. friends. Like many, we have scrapped any semblance of a normal holiday. My family, across four time zones, are all making the same pecan pie recipe (with chocolate chips, of course), and will zoom together for dessert at the appointed time. A little bright spot in an otherwise very strange day.
I know I've been fairly inactive these days...no excuse other than a case of the 'blahs' so hoping to return sooner rather than later! Thinking of you all.
It's pleasing to read that you and your family are staying safe - and finding a fun way to celebrate your holiday. Hope you all enjoy your pecan pies :)
Happy Thanksgiving. I guess it will be totally different this year. Hope you are able to share the celebrations virtually with your friends and family.
It certainly was not the day I had planned. I've been in blahville for some time now. I love your photo as it has many of my favorite things: colorful trees, water, and beautiful tall grasses. It feels like I'm standing right beside you.❤
What a beautiful landscape . Happy belated Thanksgiving, now to go check out that recipe. Chocolate chips in pecan pie, now sounds interesting and yummy.
I hope your Thanksgiving Zoom was able to lift your spirits. Thankfully for me (since my family is small) it was no different than previous years. My sister and her family and Jeff and I enjoyed being together. Lovely shot and sentiment!
What a fun and creative way to enjoy your time together, making the same pecan pie recipe!! Hope it all turned out very well during this strange time. Absolutely love the shot as well, so peaceful!
Hope you had a lovely celebration. December now with the lights of Hannukah and Christmas on the way and the shortest day less than 3 weeks away now. After that, the light starts coming back and the days get longer again. Hope on the horizon. Sending lots of love your way.
@casablanca Ah, thank you for your kind words! As you'll see, I forced myself to get out with my camera today and it did feel good. Our numbers here are just horrible, so a little concerned as the holidays approach. People really need to stay home, sadly.
Beautiful fall scene!
