Twisting Flames (aka The Twisted Monster) by taffy

Twisting Flames (aka The Twisted Monster)

Can you see the head with the mouth and the two arms held sort of in the air? I worked at home and kept the fire in the fireplace going throughout the day -- nice and cozy. And I had my camera next to me so would take breaks and shoot the fire. This was one of my favorites -- processed in a combination of Topaz and Nik Color Efex to bring out the structure in the flames. It's not as twisty as I'd hoped, but ... fire has died down and wood is in the garage and it's too cold to go out and get more.

The nearly golden color and smoothness of this image is quite remarkable. A creative approach to flames that works well.
