Danbo has been watching extreme sports on the Olympics and got a little carried away. He thought adding some wings would help (poor lily). Once they were secure, he went to the top of a snow covered mountain, leaned into the wind, and off he went. He's hoping for a medal when he returns. I just hope he lands safely.

For camera setting challenge csc-04, fill flash. The main light source was the light coming in from the window. I had Danbo in a collapsable studio (of course, before he went up to the mountain on his own). I added my external flash with a diffuser on it to lighten his face. I tend to forget about using the flash and really need to do more to practice with it and the various diffusers I've gotten for it. They don't do much good sitting on a shelf!
@mzzhope I'd take a photo for you, but really, it isn't much. I got the idea when a lily flower had fallen all over the coffee table. I'd taken a bunch of reflection shots to make a heart out of it (and may post as I'm sooo far behind that it may end up in my main album today). I stuck the leaves as wings on Danbo who was lying on the table for no apparent reason, from another photo shoot. Then, balanced him on some coasters and a rock to get him high enough in the studio, and shot from underneath with the flash set to go off. I added the stars in post processing with picmonkey.
@panthora Thanks Osia! As I described to Hope, it was a pretty silly thing I was playing with -- sometimes I wonder how I get this ideas in the first place! I felt it was a little to pink, but figured I had to stay with the color theme in the petals or convert to b&w.
I think this is so cool! You've really got a good thing going here. When is Danbo going to be sporting shorts and a muscle shirt? :) Just love those wings, sorry Lily, but so worth it.
I like what Sue said, could be his title; Danbo, The Adventure Kid! Fascinating! Thanks for describing the whole set up for this photo shot! I love his fun stories also!
And love your stories too.
