Skybridge Balconies by taffy

Skybridge Balconies

Just for fun...this is the building we are in until our house is done being reconstructed (following the fire in November). Just to show where my sky shots are taken, though only rarely actually on a balcony. Just under that weird thing at the very top is where the rooftop deck is. Will be great when it warms up!
I love the architecture in this building. Great design for photography.

@cdean1956 Thanks Charles. It's actually won several awards. It would be a nice building to be able to live in more permanently.

What a great looking building! You're WAY up there!

Great capture of that striking building.

Near to see where the magic happens.

Wow did you ask for the top floors or just lucky ? Reminds me of that thin building in NYC. This is modern where the one in New York is more classic.

This is an awesome building, although I'm sure you're ready to go home!
April 7th, 2015
Wow no wonder you are wary of going out on the balcony.

Awesome shot
April 7th, 2015
Oh my. I can see why you are intimidated!
April 7th, 2015
It's actually a really stunning building
April 7th, 2015
Wow, that's way up there! Now I see why you were reluctant to go out on the balcony.

Very nice building. Can see the way you had the views of the pool and swimmer a few days ago.
Fire damage - not a good thing.
Going to a fire conference in Napa, Ca tomorrow. Retired volunteer, now commissioner.

Great that you are so high up. You've had some great shots from here. I hope all will be fine when your house is finished.

@mtnrunner Yes -- we look down onto the building that has the pool on the roof. It's a club of some kind -- Soho Club or something like that. Here's the image of the fire results...being a commissioner and having fought fires -- I have total admiration for what you've done! http://365project.org/taffy/365/2014-11-10

It makes me dizzy just thinking about being up there! I have no idea how I would feel to be living so high up. I am happy keeping my feet firmly on the ground!
April 7th, 2015
Not liking heights I would struggle on that balcony but great viewpoint for your wonderful photos
April 7th, 2015
Wow it's a great building! The good thing to come out of your awful experience is your move to the top of this building! You have already taken full advantage of living with the view even if you don't go out on the balcony! I don't blame you seeing this! Looking forward to what you will bring us from the roof!
April 7th, 2015
Wow - what a great place to live. Hope your house rebuild goes smoothly.
April 7th, 2015
I didn't realize or remember that you had the top balcony.
April 7th, 2015
Wow an amazing building and you are very high up!
April 7th, 2015
Couldn't get much closer to the top, Taffy. Esp if don't like heights 😃
April 7th, 2015
Great shot and building...so cool that you can step on a balcony and take all of your wonderful photos
April 7th, 2015
What a fantastic vantage point you have to view and photograph Chicago!
A true bird's eye view!

Thank you for sharing.
April 7th, 2015
Nice building with a great view.
April 7th, 2015
I can understand why you don't venture on that balcony too often
April 7th, 2015
neat building, but I would not go on the balcony
April 7th, 2015

April 9th, 2015
Gosh your living the high life

It's a great looking building. I also don't like standing on balconies like that.

@bella_ss Thanks for the visit! Yep...I've gotten better at being able to go out to take a photo, but never can just walk out there to relax, or stay out there for more than a minute. Too spooky!

Wonderful! Just wish I had a view like that!!

@photographycrazy Thanks for the comments tonight! Yes, we did love that view and if we can move back there, we'd really be happy about it. We'll see!
