Snow in the Park(ing Lot) by taffy

Snow in the Park(ing Lot)

An insane day to be outside as snow continued to fall into its second day. But, we needed parking stickers or no one can visit us and park in our neighborhood. So, with camera, out I went as today is going to be one of our warmest in the near future as temperatures plunge below 0 degrees F. And it turned into a short, but very nice photo walk. This is the area that borders the parking lot in front of our building. I don't think it's ever looked this good! I used high key processing for my get-pushed challenge this week from Ian - @iwatts -- "I would like you to explore high key photography / lighting and see what you can do with it."

A great high key shot! This is something I must investigate. I love trying new things with my camera! The snow looks beautiful and it is good you got out before the temperature drops!

This is really beautiful Taffy....from a distance!! I cannot believe how much snow you guys are getting, and the east coast is going to get pummeled! Not to rub it in, but it's like summer out here....are you sure you don't want to come visit me instead of NYC?! :-)

That's a lot of snow. High key works well to eliminate unnecessary details and emphasize white.

So much snow! Fantastic winter scene

Oh my you are brave! A was dying to get outside the moment she woke up, but it is just too cold and more importantly windy. Then she walked around the house calling summer to come home! LOL This is a beautiful shot and considering it isn't going to warm up too much it should look this way for a while.

Super high key shot. Love the leading line drawing the eye to the back of the scene.

@luvmynynix It's dropping another 20 degrees over the next few days but I don't know if I have it in me to go out and photograph!! thanks for the visit and comment!

Great high key effect. I'm more than happy right now to be moaning about it being hot ( having a run of 37 to 40 degree C days, minimums of around 23C!), i really do not do the cold very well!

Great high key, good composition, hope the snow doesn't disrupt life to much over there.

Love this - will investigate high key processing as a result

This photo is beautiful. It doesn't look at all like a car park.
