Great B&W conversion. It becomes almost abstract in this shot. I like both versions but for different reasons. It is so interesting what happens when you take the colour out of a shot.
You are giving us so much to take in and admire with these 3 posts, Taffy...
You're quite right: the B&W does emphasise the structure and lines, and I think this is an excellent vantage point for that: great symmetry and strong horizontal and vertical leading lines. This is a lovely, soft rendering...I am wondering what it would look like with stronger contrast, but I have a gut feeling that this will remain the better option...
Amazing lines. I see why you spent so much time here. I think I prefer the b/w. It's so complex and the b/w focuses me on the structure vs the colours.
I love this one in b and w. Those lines and angles are amazing. You must have had an amazing time there. My photography just gets fitted in here and there can't imagine what it would be like to have a holiday about photographing. Look forward to more images to come.
I can see why you'd be able to take thousands of shots here! So many great lines and angles. It looks just as good in b/w as it does in color. Excellent shot!
